How to evaluate roles, time commitments, benefits and expectations before applying.

Read the role description carefully, including physical demands, schedule, training, background checks, costume requirements and provided benefits. Ask whether the role is volunteer, employee or independent contractor; those categories carry different obligations. Never pay an unknown person for guaranteed placement. Keep copies of instructions and report unsafe conditions through the organizer’s established channel.
